SERDANG, 15 September – The Ministry of Higher Education (KPT) for the first time is organizing the MAPUM Talent Awards Ceremony (MABMA) 2022 for the employees of the Malaysian Public Universities Housing Council (MAPUM). A total of 18 Awards were introduced to 20 Public Universities (UA) in this country and the Chief Secretary of KPT, Datuk Seri Abdul Razak Jaafar presented the prizes.

Congratulations and well done to Kolej Dua Belas for being listed as a Top 5 Finalist for the Residential College Sustainability Award.

In his speech, he said, this award is in recognition of the management staff as well as professionals, support staff and student leadership at the university.

"We are proud of the results of the efforts of the staff and students, especially because they are efficient in planning and implementing it so that it is a success not only for the campus residents but also for the community," he said at Universiti Malaysia Terengganu (UMT) on 14 September 2022.

He said that the Ministry of Education and Culture strongly emphasizes the smoothness and efficiency of the management of residential colleges of public universities in Malaysia in line with the ministry's desire to create a safe and prosperous campus environment for students to occupy in any situation, including during COVID-19.

However, all of that will certainly not be successful if there is no cooperation from all parties, especially MAPUM members who are seen to be committed to carrying out their duties with a professional attitude. Even though it was the first time that this ceremony was organized, the smoothness of the ceremony was still lively and the winners were also seen to have quality in their achievements. At the ceremony, UUM also won eight awards out of 18 contested awards.

Among the awards won are:

Best Residential College Award (silver category) – overall;
Residential College Leader Award (gold category) Muhammad Saniy Samsudin;
Best Residential College Committee Award (gold category & round cup) INASIS MAS & TNB UUM;
Best Volunteer Leader Program Award (gold category) Muhammad Saniy Samsudin;
Best Sports Program Leader Award (gold category) Muhammad Najmi Shakir Abu Hassan;
Best Entrepreneurship Program Leader Award (silver category) Nur Arrysha Najeeha Azman; and
Outstanding Volunteering Award (gold category) Mohd Khairone Mat Khatidin.
